If you want to connect with people, live where they live.
Literally go to the places that people go, and make a connection.
Another way to say this is don’t build a website and think people will come to you… they won’t. Instead go to where they already are… Find a way to stream your messaging into [...]
Music outreach program > live where people live > onramp to our mission
First Lady says find an onramp to volunteerism
As most of you know Surfrider Foundation is a non-partisan organization. Our membership reflects every political persuasion, every gender, age and demographic. I’m sharing this video because transcends politics.
From my perspective I’ve always believed that it’s great to know what you love but it’s even better to act on that love. In this case she’s [...]
One item veto
There are very few organizations on earth who have supporters who agree with 100% of the organization’s stances or ideas. Even fewer where that 100% agreement is true 100% of the time.
Honestly, I can’t think of one.
I don’t think there is one.

There are 4 hearings coming up in April to hear from the public on this proposed [...]
From the mountains to the oceans: Stefanie Sekich podcast
Before I joined the Surfrider Foundation, I sought out Stefanie Sekich to understand her perspective on things. Stefanie is a force within our San Diego Chapter, and it was clear she was a key player.
Fast forward a couple years and she was as the backbone of the Save Trestles campaign. Today, Stefanie is one of [...]
