This is not a healthy coast (Dakar, Senegal)

I popped a photo from Guatemala up a few days ago.  Anna, a Facebook friend saw those and shared the below photos with me from a place she loves, Dakar in Senegal.

Surfrider’s new strategic plan has a very simple vision, healthy coast.

A healthy coast looks like this.

An unhealthy coast looks like this (yes that cat is dead… perhaps from trying to digest plastic).

    Jim, this post really hit me hard, especially seeing that poor, innocent cat’s life come to an end that way. Polluted coastlines plus animals dying beause of it equals a message that should be seen by everyone. We definitely need to keep up the good work of cleaning up the world’s beaches.
